The Tampa division is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional.


Maintain and implement KHS&S hiring policies across all divisions and ensure all documentation relating to hiring and employee onboarding are in compliance with laws and regulations and routinely updated.    



The principle duties and responsibilities of the position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

 Primary duties:

  • Interact and respond to employee inquiries regarding health benefit plans, 401K, company policies, labor laws and compliance.
  • Coordinate the benefits annual open enrollment.
  • Implement on-line application process and modify forms and job descriptions to comply.
  • Continually update and improve Employee Handbook and all forms contained in our Hire Pack and our employee intranet.
  • Coordination hiring functions with various offices and utilize new on-line application system to identify candidates.
  • Train designated individuals at offices to complete Hire Pack paperwork completely and correctly for submission to Central.

Other Duties:

  • Perform and/or attend educational/orientations, as required.
  • Cross train to perform enrollment/termination tasks related to employee benefits.
  • Update employee master records for new hires or for other changes.
  • Perform any other related or unrelated, unassigned, unspecified duty that may be needed from time to time as directed by CFO.



EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree, preferably with Business/Human Resources concentration.

EXPERIENCE: Required 5 year related HR experience, optimally in the construction industry.

SKILLS: Business writing ability. Working knowledge of the various areas of compliance with FLSA, FMLA, Wage & Hour, DOL, ADA and other regulations concerning HR matters.  Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.   Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL: Includes sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands, arms, legs, and feet. Must be able to hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficient to understand. Work for majority of time at desk on a computer workstation.

MENTAL: Must have desire and aptitude for learning new things.  Must be able to work under time and budgetary constraints.  

LICENSES/CERTIFICATION: PHR Certification preferred. Valid driver's license required.



This person will work primarily in the corporate office in Tampa, with frequent trips to other offices and/or jobsites and job/career fairs.   This will require overnight travel on a fairly regular basis.
