We are growing and seeking an experienced Risk Management Administrator.

Position Summary 

The Risk Management Administrator is responsible for coordinating various aspects of our commercial insurance program working directly with the Chief Financial Officer.   This includes the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as point of contact with our insurance broker on day-to-day issues/inquiries on COI's, coverage questions, completion of forms/applications, etc.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with adjusters and our Captive insurance program representative regarding ALL claims: general liability, auto, and/or workers' compensation claims for KHS&S employees, monitoring expenses paid and reserves proposed.
  • Work closely with injured workers, supervisors, medical providers, insurance brokers and attorneys in the management of injured worker claims.   Comprehend and make inferences from written material, letters and reports from doctors in order to make determinations regarding ability to return to work.
  • Review medical reports, monitor and initiate vocational rehabilitation, negotiate settlements, authorize payments, maintain claim files, represent KHS&S at hearings and prepare cases for litigation if necessary.
  • Be an integral member of the safety committee, working with division management and regional safety coordinators to develop training schedules.   Oversee our on-line safety training credential tracking program.  
  • Monitor compliance of required safety site specific reports, job hazard analysis, respirator logs, and other safety related items prepared by divisional personnel by performing periodic audits of jobsite and our corporate requirements.
  • Create and maintain electronic OSHA 300 and 300A records ensuring accuracy and completeness for all reporting and work locations
  • Maintain effective communication with employees, third party carriers and or carrier representatives, managers, and regional safety coordinators.
  • Set up clinics in multiple states for post-injury tests, pre-employment screenings, Silica and Hearing standard tests.
  • Prepare OCIP and CCIP enrollments.  Update templates annually and distribute information on OCIP/CCIP cost calculations. Interact with OCIP/CCIP administrators on claims as needed.
  • Facilitate information needed to complete annual work comp and general liability audits with carriers.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience   
  • 2-4 years of experience in workers' compensation claims management
  • Working knowledge of  multiple states workers' compensation laws, statutes, liabilities, and procedures
  • Quality assurance and analysis proficiency to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Suite and web-browsers
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to travel to multiple work sites and states
